Non, ce n'est pas à une chanson de Madonna (années '80) auquel je fais référence, mais à l'outil de recherche de Mac OS 10.4. Aujourd'hui, j'ai cuisiné et j'ai eu besoin de ma recette de crème fouettée. Et d'ailleurs, j'ai cuisiné tout le week-end, pain aux bananes, muffin au son, muffin aux pommes, gâteau au pommes, etc.) Grâce à Spotlight, en 8 secondes, la recette était ouverte dans Textedit.
Évidemment, Spotlight a trouvé la recette parce que les mots de la recherche étaient inscrit dans le document. Cependant, comment peut-on faire pour retrouver des documents qui n'ont pas de mots? C'est simple, et ça ne demande qu'un minimum d'effort. Il faut ajouter des mots-clefs dans le panneau "Get Info" (Command - I) des items que l'on souhaite pouvoir rechercher.
Par exemple, ici, j'ai une image au format TIFF. Il s'agit d'un rendu d'une scène conçue dans Bryce 5.5 Hormis le nom du fichier, il me serait impossible de retrouver cette image si je ne lui avait pas assignée des mots-clefs comme Bryce et Digital Imagery (Imagerie Numérique). Bien sûr, je pourrais utiliser le nom du fichier, mais ça pourrait devenir long et compliqué (daz_bryce_ball_on_water_digital_imagery.tiff)
Alors, pour tout ce que vous pensez avoir besoin plus tard, n'hésitez pas et ajoutez quelques mots-clefs. Ce peut être le sujet, l'auteur, le lieu, la période, l'outil pour créer le document, à qui il a été donné, de qui il a été reçu, etc. Vous allez voir, ça devient bien vite pratique!

And, incidentally, I cooked all week-end long (banana bread, apple cake, whole brand muffins, apple muffins, etc.) But thanks to Spotlight, in 8 seconds, my recipe was there on my screen, in TextEdit.
Obviously, Spotlight found the recipe because the words were in the document. However, how can we find documents with no words in them? It's easy and it only requires minimal effort. You have to add keywords in the Get Info panel (Command - I) for items you wish to find later.
For example, I have a TIFF image. It's a render from a Bryce scene. Aside from the name of the file, it would be impossible to find if I hadn't gave it a few keywords such as Bryce and Digital Imagery. Of course, I could use the entire name of the document to log my keywords, but that would become complicated (i.e. daz_bryce_ball_on_water_digital_imagery.tiff)
So, for every document you think you may need to refer later, simply add a few keywords. This may be the object, the author, the place, the time, the tool used to create the document, to whom it was distributed, from whom you received it. You'll see, it'll become quite helpful!
